Most campsites that are on the sand, I didn't bother with the hammock, I simply found a place to pitch my tarp on the beach, and laid out my blue pad on the sand. sand's comfy. I hammocked at walbran and at michigan. Came off trail a dinner and 2 breakfasts, a cigar, a bay bread biscuit, and a bit of almonds and fruit, peanut butter, coffee, and tea.. (could have spent anouther day and a half out - or more if I stocked up at moniques)
