An overnight in and out to Turbine Canyon Campground in Peter Lougheed provincial park, Taking my brother Jim on his first backcountry trip. He used mostly my borrowed gear, although I made him buy pants, socks, underwear and a windshirt at MEC so he wasn't in cotton.

We basically had perfect weather, hardly a cloud in the sky. Really Really nice early fall hike.

Gear and Notes

			Approaching Forks, we then go up the valley to the right of that mountain and climb those Avalanche tracks.

			We go up there...

			switchbacks through avalanche tracks.

			Larches were just starting to turn yellow

		Little unnamed alpine lake south of Lawson lake.

		Newbie with Chicken Enchilada...	that he successfully managed to make over this..	Dinnertime view was sun hitting the peaks to the east.

	which was just cool.

		The drop into Turbine Canyon.		The trickle into this is deceptive from the top.

		Ok, enough wandering. time for coffee and breakfast.

	Forks gets wood helicoptered in.

	Alberta Forest Service flagging in the valley to the north of Mt. Indefatigable	Uh oh. Hope this doesn't mean they're gonna lawnmower this in a futile effort to stop the Pine Beetle.

			Spruce Bonsai, and upper Kananaskis Lake.

				Back at the trailhead. Time to head home.
